Overload And Over Temperature Testing Of Lighting Electrical Ready Board

As a key equipment for power distribution, the safe operation of lighting electrical ready boards is crucial, and overload and over temperature testing are important links to ensure their reliability.

Overload test

The overload test aims to verify the protection function of the electrical ready board when the rated load is exceeded. During testing, it is necessary to simulate overload scenarios that may occur in actual use and gradually increase the load to exceed the rated value. For example, if the rated current of the electrical ready board is 16A, professional load equipment can be used to slowly increase the current to 20A or even higher. During the overload process, closely observe the operation of protective devices such as circuit breakers in the electrical ready board. If the circuit breaker can accurately trip and cut off the circuit within the specified time, it indicates that the overload protection function is normal. On the contrary, if the circuit breaker does not operate or operates with a delay, there may be a risk of overload protection failure, and further investigation of circuit breaker performance, wiring, and other issues is needed.

Over temperature test

The over temperature test is used to evaluate the heat dissipation performance of the electrical ready board under long-term operation or high temperature environment. Place the electrical ready board in a simulated high-temperature environment (such as a set temperature higher than the normal operating temperature) and keep it running continuously. Real time temperature monitoring of key parts inside the electrical ready board, such as wiring terminals, switch contacts, etc., using infrared thermometers and other equipment. Record temperature data at different time points and compare it with the maximum operating temperature allowed by the equipment. If the temperature is within a reasonable range and there is no abnormal upward trend, it indicates good heat dissipation performance; If the temperature continues to rise and exceeds the safety threshold, there may be a problem of poor heat dissipation, and it is necessary to check whether the ventilation holes are blocked and whether the cooling fan is faulty.

Through strict overload and over temperature testing, potential safety hazards of the lighting electrical ready board can be detected in a timely manner, ensuring its safe and stable operation under various working conditions.
