The steps for installing an electric meter in the meter box are as follows:

Preparation stage: Firstly, check the voltage, current and other parameters of the energy meter to ensure that they match the required installation environment. Prepare and inspect the necessary tools and equipment, such as test pens, screwdrivers, insulation tape, safety belts, lead seals, sealing pliers, phase sequence meters, hammers, ladders, etc., to ensure that they are in good condition.

Installation of electric meter box: Mark and drill holes on the wall at the selected installation position, and then fix the electric meter box in a vertical position in all four directions to ensure that the box is firmly fixed. Next, fix the energy meter inside the box and tighten the screws to ensure its vertical fixation.

Meter wiring: Before wiring, disconnect the power supply to ensure safety. Check if the wiring diagram of the energy meter matches the actual terminal number, and then connect the wires according to the wiring diagram. Loosen the screws inside the terminal box of the electric energy meter, connect the power line and load line in sequence, and ensure that the wiring is firm and the insulation is good. Special attention should be paid to avoid reversing or short circuiting the live and neutral wires to prevent abnormal or damaged operation of the electricity meter.

Inspection and sealing: After wiring is completed, conduct a power on test to check if the energy meter is working properly. After confirming the accuracy, install a lead seal to prevent unauthorized modifications.

Subsequent maintenance: After installation, regularly inspect and maintain the meter box and meter to ensure their normal operation. This includes checking the appearance, wiring, and accessories of the electricity meter for any damage, as well as performing necessary cleaning and maintenance work.

Please note that the installation of electricity meters in the meter box requires professional personnel to ensure installation quality and electrical safety.
