How to distinguish between distribution box and distribution cabinet?

1. Control switch fault or open circuit

 

When the circuit cannot be closed due to the damage of the control switch and the open circuit due to the disconnection of the control circuit, the fault manifestation is that the motor does not rotate and there is no voltage at both ends of the motor. The search method is to measure the voltage or resistance with a multimeter. The voltage measurement method is to adjust the multimeter to the voltage gear when the control circuit is powered on. If there is a voltage (except the step-down element), there is an open point between the two measured points. When using the resistance measurement method, pay attention to the on-off of the bypass. If there is a bypass parallel circuit, disconnect one end of the measured line.

 

2. Improper adjustment of travel switch

 

The travel switch is a limit switch that controls the energy storage position of the motor. When the energy storage of the motor is in place, cut off the power supply of the motor. If the limit is too high, the mechanism energy storage is full. The fault phenomenon is that the motor does not stop when idling and the energy storage indicator does not light up. The motor can only be stopped by turning on the control switch (HK). When the limit adjustment is too low, the motor stops in advance when the energy storage is not full. The switch cannot be closed because the energy storage is not in place. The way to adjust the limit is to slowly store energy manually, find the correct position and tighten it.

 

3. Motor failure

 

If the motor winding is burned, there will be peculiar smell, smoke, fuse, etc. If there is voltage at both ends of the motor, the motor does not rotate. It may be caused by falling off or serious wear of carbon brush. The method to judge whether it is a motor fault is to measure the voltage and resistance at both ends of the motor or replace it with other good motors.

 

The high-voltage cabinet and 400V low-voltage cabinet (no matter the incoming line, outgoing line, metering, capacitance, connection, voltage transformer, etc. in the high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear) can be called distribution cabinet. The outgoing line load on the secondary side of the equipment below 400V low-voltage cabinet is power facilities (such as fan, motor, water pump, etc.), then it is called power cabinet. While the load is lamps, switches, sockets and other equipment is called distribution box.

 

1. Distribution box: small power distribution box, which contains power switch and safety device / relay (or contactor) and can be used for specified equipment control, such as motor control.

 

2. Distribution cabinet: in fact, it is the large-scale distribution box, which can provide large power or more channels of power output, and can also realize more complex control.

 

Power cabinet: the main load is power or lighting and power are used together, And a high-capacity distribution box that provides power for lighting loads (beyond 63A level, non terminal power distribution, such as the upper level power distribution of lighting distribution box).
