Can AC contactor (CJX2) and DC contactor be interchanged

Generally speaking, the structural difference between DC touch device and AC contactor (CJX2) is that the core coil is charged with DC, which will not produce eddy current and hysteresis loss, so it will not generate heat. To facilitate processing, the core is made of a whole piece of mild steel. In order to make the coil heat dissipation outstanding, the coil is usually wound into a thin cylindrical shape, which can be directly touched with the iron core for easy heat dissipation. The main difference between AC contactor (CJX2) and DC touch

 

1. The core is different: the core of AC contactor (CJX2) will produce eddy current and hysteresis loss, while DC touch device has no core loss. Therefore, the iron core of AC contactor (CJX2) is made of mutual insulating silicon steel sheets, and is often made into E-shape; the iron core of DC touch device is made of whole piece of mild steel, and most of them are made into U-shape.

 

2. The arc extinguishing system is different: the grid arc extinguishing device is used for AC contactor (CJX2), while the magnetic blow arc extinguishing device is used for DC touch device.

 

3. The number of coil turns is different: the number of coil turns of AC contactor (CJX2) is less, the number of coil turns of DC touch device is more, the number of coil turns of AC contactor (CJX2) is less, the number of coil turns of DC touch device is more, the number of coil turns of DC touch device is more, the number of coil turns of AC contactor (CJX2) is communication circuit, the number of coil turns of DC touch device is DC circuit.

 

4. The operating frequency is different: the starting current of AC contactor (CJX2) is large, the highest operating frequency is 600 times / hour, and the operating cost is low. The operation frequency of DC touch device can be as high as 2000 times / hour, and the operation cost is high.

 

Can AC contactor (CJX2) and DC touch be interchanged

 

1. The AC contactor (CJX2) can replace the DC touch device in emergency, and the closing time can not exceed 2 hours (because the heat dissipation of the communication coil is worse than that of the DC, which is determined by their different structures). If it really needs to be used for a long time, it is best to string a resistor in the communication coil, but the DC can not replace the AC contactor (CJX2);

 

2. The number of coil turns of AC contactor (CJX2) is small, while that of DC touch device is large. The volume of coil can distinguish that for the condition of excessive current in main circuit (ie > 250A), the touch device adopts series double winding coil;

 

3. The coil of DC relay has high reactance and low current. If it is said that the connection of communication power will not be damaged, it will be closed and discharged at the same time. However, if the reactance of the coil of the communication relay is small, the current will be large. If DC is connected, the coil will be damaged;

 

4. The coil turns of AC contactor (CJX2) are few and the resistance is small. When the coil is energized, a large inductive reactance will be produced, which is far greater than the resistance of the coil. The exciting current of the coil mainly depends on the size of the inductive reactance. If the direct current is connected, the coil will become a pure resistance load. At this moment, the current flowing through the coil will be very large, making the coil hot or even burnt out. Therefore, the AC contactor (CJX2) can not be used as a DC touch device.
